John J. Donahue, 71, died Friday, May 4, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of the late Janice (Covell) Donahue. Born in Cambridge, he was raised in South Boston and a graduate of South Boston Schools. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. Mr. Donahue was a resident of Canton for the past 10 years, previously living in Brockton for over 25 years. He worked as a factory worker for Draper Brothers in Canton for over 25 years, retiring at age 55. In his free time he enjoyed camping.
He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth J. Donahue and his wife Suzanne of Bridgewater, Stephen M. Donahue and his wife Judy of Raynham. He was the brother of James Donahue of Lowell and Mary "Tootsie" Mitchell of S. Boston. In addition to his wife Janice, he was predeceased by his son, John W. Donahue and his twin brother William Donahue. He is also survived by his grandchildren Gavin, Emily, Nicole, Joseph and Timothy Donahue.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, May 7, at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday, May 6, 5-8 PM. Burial will be private.
