John W. Denison, 82, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, March 26. He was the husband of Dolores P. (Wimberly) Denison and the late Elizabeth Ann (Rose) Denison. Born in Stoughton, he attended Stoughton Schools, Milton Academy, Tabor Academy and the Stockbridge School of Agriculture. Mr. Denison was a dairy farmer and managed the family farm, Denison Farm, in Stoughton for many years. He was a member and past commander of the Taunton River Power Squadron and a member of the Stoughton Fish & Game. He was an avid boater and fisherman.
In addition to his wife Dolores, Mr. Denison is survived by his children, Elizabeth Ann Lee and her husband Kevin J. of Dartmouth and John W. Denison, Jr. and his wife Karon L. of E. Taunton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, March 29 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-7 PM. Donations in John's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
