John W. "Jack" Buckley, 71, a resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Milton on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Eileen (Shea) Buckley for 44 years. Son of the late Gerald F. and Mary E. (Condon) Buckley, he was born and raised in Boston. Jack was a graduate of Brighton High School, Class of 1966. He resided in West Roxbury for 21 years before moving to Stoughton in 1995. Jack worked in traffic engineering for the Massachusetts Highway Department for 37 years before retiring at age 58. He also worked part-time for the Racing Commission at Raynham-Taunton Greyhound Park.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his children, Sean K. Buckley and his wife Patricia of Raynham and Andrea M. Buckley of Stoughton, as well as his granddaughters, Olivia Buckley and Amelia Harrop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church, 560 Page St., Stoughton on Saturday, December 22 at 12 PM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center, 597 Randolph Ave., Milton, MA 02186.
