John W. Blomstrom

John W. Blomstrom, 87, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a short period of failing health. Born and raised in Readville, he was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. Mr. Blomstrom was also a graduate of Northeastern University, Class of 1951. He was a longtime resident of Stoughton who spent many years in Murrells Inlet, SC. He worked for General Latex and Chemical Corporation in Billerica for over 40 years and retired as the General Manager in 1995. He was a longtime member of Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing.

Mr. Blomstrom was the father of Jan G. LeDonne of Canton, Sue G. Blomstrom of Stoughton, Dianne G. Hadges of Easton and the late John G. Blomstrom. He was the brother of Richard Blomstrom of FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christopher, Katie, Tate and Jack.

Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 16, at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Donations in John's memory may be made to the VA Hospital Voluntary Services, 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, 02132.
