Joaquim "Jack" Rodriques, 79, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Thursday, October 16, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of Audrey (Taylor) Rodriques. Born and raised in New Bedford, he was a former resident of Boston, before moving to Stoughton in 1968. He was the owner of Jack's Cleaning Service of Stoughton for many years, before retiring 3 years ago. In the 1960's, he was a band leader and piano player for several area bands. In his free time, he enjoyed playing bingo.
In addition to his wife Audrey, he is survived by his children: Donna A. Lockett of PA, Lawrence E. Holmes of Milton, Bruce A. Holmes of Stoughton and Maurita Chukweiezi of Roxbury. He was the brother of Lillian Mallory of CA, Alicia Lumba of Brockton and Manuel Burgo of Hanson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, October 21 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Donations in Jack's name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02068. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
