Joanne M. (Pietroszkiewicz) Petrucci, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Friday, October 12, 2018 at the St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1964. Mrs. Petrucci worked as a Crossing Guard and Teacher's Assistant at the West School in Stoughton for over 24 years, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed dancing, walking and going to Polish Picnics. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, including her friend Ed Mayo.
Mrs. Petrucci is survived by her three daughters; Cheryl A. Petrucci of Stoughton, AnneMarie Rivers and her husband Wesley J. Rivers III of Bellingham and Jill Thrasher and her husband Chuck of Georgia. She was the daughter of Albina J. (Stripinis) Timperi of Stoughton and the late Anthony R. Pietroszkiewicz. Joanne was the grandmother of Brittany Thorburn, Caden Thrasher, Cole Thrasher, Callie Thrasher and Camryn Thrasher. She was the sister of Tony Petrose of Stoughton.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, October 16 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park.
