Joanne P. Mancini

Joanne P. (Chopek) Mancini, 60, a longtime resident of Hingham, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Quincy Medical Center. She was the wife of Samuel J. Mancini. Born in Boston, she was raised in Mattapan and was a graduate of Boston Latin Academy. She also attended Northeastern University in Boston. Mrs. Mancini lived in Hingham since 1986. She was a dedicated and gifted mother who enjoyed making others happy. Mrs. Mancini was also a devoted grandmother and animal lover.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons: Sam A. Mancini of Hingham, Kevin A. Mancini and his wife Megan of Norwell and Jeff A. Mancini of Hingham. She was the sister of Linda J. Intini of IL and the late Michael W. Chopek, MD. She was predeceased by her son Steven Mancini. She is also survived by her two grandsons: David Mancini and Cole Mancini.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday Evening at 8:15 PM. Visiting Hours prior to services from 5-8 PM. Donations in Joanne's name may be made to MSPCA-Angell, Attn-Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, 02130.
