Joan Marsha (Kenney) Tremblay

Joan Marsha (Kenney) Tremblay, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023 at the Knollwood Nursing Center in Worcester. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Alfred Joseph Tremblay. Born in Sanford, ME, she was the daughter to the late Florence (Volton) and Burton C. Kenney. She was raised in Provincetown, and after marrying moved to Stoughton in 1964. She was a graduate of Provincetown High School, Class of 1954. She began Nursing School after graduation, and her career changed direction when she ultimately became a Chef. She worked multiple jobs as a chef, making the donuts at Dunkin Donuts in Stoughton in the 70’s, Sorrento II Italian Restaurant in Walpole in the 80’s, then went on to work at Cumberland Farms Corporate Offices in Canton, and before retiring, worked at the deli counter at Shaw’s in Stoughton. Joan enjoyed going to Foxwoods and playing lottery tickets, reading books, going on cruises, traveling, watching the New England Patriots, and loved Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and she cherished her time with family.

Joan is survived by her children John Tremblay and his wife Cheryl of Lancaster, Suzanne Miller and her husband Christopher of Stoughton, Dianne Tangaro, and her husband Randy of Searsport, ME, and Dennis Bernardy of Fort Collins, CO. She is also survived by her grandchildren Monique Costa, Nicole Parker, Danielle Tremblay, Ian Miller, Amanda Wyllie, Nicholas Miller, James Bernardy and Jenny Spicer, and was preceded in death by her grandson Eric Miller. She was the great-grandmother to Charlotte Costa, Olivia Parker, and Charlie Spicer, and leaves behind loved members of her extended family.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Tuesday July 18^th from 4-7PM. Funeral will be held the next day, July 19^th at the funeral home at 9:30AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, 560 Page Street, Stoughton at 10:30AM. Interment will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
