Joan M. Moreau

Joan M. Moreau, 85, died Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Hellenic Nursing Center in Canton after a long period of declining health. Born and raised in Somerville, she was a graduate of Somerville Schools. Ms. Moreau was a longtime resident of Dorchester who recently lived in Stoughton. She worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston for over 40 years, retiring at age 65. She was a longtime volunteer at the Children's Hospital in Boston. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with friends.

She was the sister of the late Elizabeth A. Tobin and her husband the late Edward M. Tobin. She was the aunt of Patricia Mitchell of RI and Edward M. Tobin of Boston and the great aunt of Brendan Mitchell of RI.

A Funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Tuesday, August 6, at 10:30AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton prior to the mass from 9-10AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
