Joan C. Karski

Joan C. Karski, 76, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Boston Medical Center on Friday, May 31, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late Waclaw and Katherine (Baranczuk) Karski.  Born in Liebenau, Germany, she was raised in Chile before coming to the United States in 1959 and settling in Dorchester. She moved to Stoughton in 1996. Joan was a graduate of South Boston High School, Class of 1966.  She then went to work for Gillette in South Boston for 42 years, retiring as a quality control inspector 14 years ago.  In her free time, she enjoyed working out at the gym and gardening.

Joan is survived by her siblings, Stella Constantopoulos and her husband Elias of Weston, Theresa Crosby and her husband Stuart of Brewster and Richard Karski of Newton.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
