Joan M. (Cavallaro) Correia

Joan M. (Cavallaro) Correia, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on her 70th birthday. She was the wife of John C. Correia for 21 years. Daughter of the late Joseph R. and Audrey M. (Groves) Cavallaro, she was born in Cambridge and raised in Brockton. Joan was a graduate of Brockton High School. She resided in Stoughton for over 30 years. Joan worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Capital Assets for 20 years before retiring in 2016.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Tina Bailey and Kim Bailey both of Stoughton. She was the sister of Diane O'Neil and her husband Bill of Tennessee and is also survived by a niece.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, June 2 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
