Jeanne M. (Girouard) Tobin

Jeanne M. (Girouard) Tobin, of Easton, formerly of Brockton, age 82, died peacefully at the Southwood at Norwell Nursing Home on Friday, July 6, 2012. She was the loving wife of the late Command Sgt. Major Thomas W. Tobin, U.S. Army (Ret.). Born in Milton, she was raised in Dorchester and educated in Dorchester Schools. She graduated from the Quincy City Hospital Nursing School and worked as a nurse at the Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton for over 30 years. Mrs. Tobin enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Tobin was the loving mother of Thomas W. Tobin, Jr. and his wife Nora of Plymouth, Michael P. Tobin and his wife Joanne of Whitman, Donna L. Tobin of Taunton and Laura K. Dowd and her husband Richard of Wellesley. She was cherished by her 10 grandchildren and her predeceased grandson Michael P. Tobin, Jr.. Survived by her siblings : William Girouard of CA, Paul Girouard of Milton, Evelyn O'Sullivan of Milton and Robert Girouard of MD and the late Beverly Eaton.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
