Jeanne T. (Woodford) McMenimon, 86, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, October 25, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Edward J. McMenimon. Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, she was a graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School. She resided in Stoughton for the past 50 years. Mrs. McMenimon was a claims adjuster for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Plymouth and Quincy for over 10 years before retiring 21 years ago. She also ran the Teen Employment Service in Stoughton for over 10 years. Jeanne performed for the troops with the USO during World War II. She loved dancing with her husband and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. McMenimon is survived by her children, James E. McMenimon and Donna M. Kowalker both of Stoughton, Edward J. McMenimon and Jeanne E. Deming both of Weymouth, John R. "Jack" McMenimon of Tyngsboro and the late Teresa A. "Tammy" Murray. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Manning. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 30 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
