Jeanne F. (Cusack) McCarthy, 72, died at home on Sunday, June 8 after a brief illness. She was the wife of William F. McCarthy. Daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Cremins) Cusack, she was born in Boston and graduated from Roslindale High School, Class of 1953. She lived in Stoughton for the past 4 years after living in Hyde Park for over 30 years. Mrs. McCarthy was a data entry clerk for Bank of Boston in Dorchester for over 20 years before retiring in 2004. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. McCarthy was the mother of William McCarthy and his fianc Denise Prather of Dedham, Karen Burke of Stoughton, John McCarthy and his fianc Elizabeth DiBartolo of Raynham, Paul McCarthy of Weymouth, Anne Marie Johnson and her husband Thomas of Franklin, Terri Golden and her husband Dennis of Norwood, Robert McCarthy and his wife Beth of Milford, Kevin McCarthy and his fianc Cathy Payne of Mansfield and Suzan Nicholson and her husband Richard of Stoughton. She was the sister of Mary McCarthy and her husband Richard of Dedham, Joseph Cusack and his wife Michelle of Osterville and the late Madeline Buckley and Irene Pinkham. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 grandchildren by marriage, 5 great-grandchildren by marriage, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 12 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 6-8 and Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne's memory may be made to Autism Speaks, 85 School St., Suite 100, Watertown, MA 02472.
