Jeanne M. Brauneis

Jeanne M. (O'Brien) Brauneis, 73, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, April 21. She was the wife of Robert A. Brauneis. Born in Cambridge, she was educated in Newton schools and graduated from the Catherine Gibbs Academy in Boston. Mrs. Brauneis was a resident of Stoughton for 1 year after living in Newton Highlands for 47 years. She was a customer service representative for New England Telephone for 15 years before retiring in 1991. She was the secretary for the Asst. Superintendent of Schools in Weston many years ago.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brauneis is survived by her children, Katherine J. Brauneis and her partner Amy Grinnell of Brockton and Robert A. Brauneis, Jr. and his wife Louise of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Michelle, James and Patrick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, April 25 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Island Pond Cemetery in Harwich. Donations in Jeanne's name may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, 02215.
