Jean A. Lorimer, 93 of Stoughton Massachusetts passed away on January 18, 2024, while resting comfortably and under the care of hospice at 7:55 AM. Jean was no doubt the beloved matriarch of her family. She was forever, and no matter the situation, proud of all her children and always encouraged love and forgiveness for each other. Jean worked for over 45 years taking care of the elderly. She raised 7 children as an Army spouse, while moving from Boston to Georgia, to Germany, then France, to Pennsylvania, into Connecticut and Texas, all while her husband was deployed to Vietnam for 2 years. She was a fierce advocate for woman's rights and had a heart that was even bigger than her generosity. At the time of her passing she was still married and living with her husband of 75 years, Charles Lorimer. The two were wed September 16, 1948 in Boston.
Jean is survived by her children Jean, Linda, Chuck, Matthew, and Terrence, and Jean will join her two children in heaven that passed before her, Ellen and Gary. She had 9 grandchildren, Christy, Shannon, Chucky, Patrick, Ellen, Cynthia, Amanda, Sarah and Sophia, all of whom loved their grandmother. Jean also had countless great-grandchildren whose lives were all impacted by her grace and love. Remember forever Jean A. Lorimer our mother. We Love you so much mom.
