Jean B. (Guichard) Gresham, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, April 14. She was the wife of the late Paul Gresham. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, she moved to the Boston area in the 1940's before settling in Stoughton over 30 years ago. Mrs. Gresham was an assembly worker at Old Mr. Boston for 25 years before working at Skewes in Bridgewater for 10 years until her retirement in 2009. She was a member of bowling leagues at Westgate Lanes in Brockton for many years and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods.
Mrs. Gresham is survived by her children, Barbara A. Roberts and her husband Raymond, Sr. of Brockton, Linda M. Pearson and Eugene W. Pearson both of Stoughton and James M. Pearson of Marshfield, as well as her grandchildren, Keith Roberts, Garrett Roberts, Raymond Roberts, Jr. and Chanvilla Walker. She was the sister of Anita Thomas of Billerica, Diane Cook of TX and the late Conway Guichard, Morris Guichard, Jr. and David Guichard. She was the former wife of the late James. Pearson. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, April 18 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to Hospice of Boston & Greater Brockton, 1324 Belmont St., Suite 202, Brockton, MA 02301.
