Jean R. (Metheny) Farnham, 97, a longtime resident of Berkley, died peacefully at Life Care Center of Raynham on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Daughter of the late Robert L. and Olive (Ranger) Metheny, she was born in Beaver Falls, PA and raised in Providence, RI. She was a graduate of Central High School in Providence and Bridgewater State College. She resided in Berkley since 1987 after living in Easton for 26 years. Jean was the Corporate Director of Personnel at Butler Automatic, Inc. in Canton then Middleboro for many years before retiring in 1991. She then was a Senior Legal Advocate for Battered Women at New Hope, Inc. in Attleboro for several years. She was a longtime member of Myricks United Methodist Church in Berkley. She was an avid animal lover.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Lynn C. Farnham and her spouse Rena Fahy of Middleboro.
Funeral Service will be held from the Myricks United Methodist Church, 93 Myricks St., Berkley on Friday, March 11 at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Cushing Cemetery, Mattapoisett.
