Jean Rita (Pantano) Elliott, 95, a resident of Stoughton, died at John Adams HealthCare Center in Quincy on Wednesday, April 25. She was the wife of the late James A. Elliott. Born and raised in Braintree, she was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1935. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 17 years. Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and also volunteered with the Stoughton Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Elliott was the mother of Geraldine E. Egan and her husband Thomas of Shrewsbury, Marjorie J. Murphy and her husband Robert of Braintree, Barbara A. Wood and her husband James of Randolph, Paula J. Zanca and her husband Richard and Jean R. Pinnetti and her husband Mark all of Stoughton and the late James A. Elliott, Jr. and Harold M. Elliott. She was the mother-in-law of Brenda Elliott of FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Scott Elliott, 7 brothers and sisters.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, May 1 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
