Jay F. Jackson, 92, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at River Ridge Assisted Living in Avon, CT on Sunday, March 5, 2017. He was the husband of the late Ruth E. (Goldie) Jackson of Brockton. He was born and raised in Brockton and a graduate of Brockton High School and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Jay was a Pharmacist Mate 1st Class in the U.S. Navy and served in Pearl Harbor for 2 ½ years during World War II. He was a pharmacist and sales representative for Parke Davis for 27 years, then worked at Taunton State Hospital for 10 years before retiring over 10 years ago.
Jay is survived by his children, Jay F. Jackson, Jr. and his wife Lori of Arlington, Stephen R. Jackson of Stoughton and David S. Jackson and his wife Patricia of Simsbury, CT. He was the grandfather of Matthew Dallas and his wife Suzanne of Frederick, MD, Andrew Dallas and his wife Margaret and Christopher Jackson and his girlfriend Emma all of Washington, DC and Jenny Jackson of Arlington and great-grandfather of Nora Dallas of Frederick, MD.
