Jason John Stubbs, 36, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, November 7, 2016. He was the son of Kathleen R. (Wilder) Stubbs of Stoughton and the late Richard Stubbs. Born in Miami, FL, he was raised there until moving to Stoughton at age 6. Jason was a graduate of Stoughton High School and Lincoln Technical School in Connecticut, where he studied welding. He was a welder for Kessler Machine and Fabricating in Canton. Known for his quick wit, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved animals and walking the beach and Lake Massapoag in Sharon.
In addition to his mother, Jason is survived by his brothers, Gregory E. Stubbs of Brookline and Mark D. Stubbs and his fiancé Toni Ann Vaccaro of Canton, as well as his niece, Ella K. Stubbs. He was the grandson of Doris Moss and Albert Stubbs both of Florida and the late Rita and Edward Wilder. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Zoe Belinsky-Hausman of Stoughton, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Monday, November 14 at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday from 2-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jason's memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
