Jarrod W. Brophy, 55, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, after being stricken ill at his home in Wareham. Born in Norwood, son of William and Mary Lou (Minuchi) Brophy, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and attended Xaverian Brother High School in Westwood and graduated from Stoughton High School, class of 1988. While being raised in Stoughton, he was active in Stoughton youth sports, playing Little League, Hockey and Boxing.
Jarrod was a resident of Wareham for many years. He worked for the Massachusetts Highway Department for several years and also enjoyed working with his brother Sean and his company Brophy Builders in Wareham. He was a devoted uncle and could often be found cheering on his niece and nephews during their events. Jarrod enjoyed talking politics and was a fan of Fox News. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved daughter Seevahn and his family and friends.
Jarrod is survived by his loving daughter Seevahn G. Brophy of SC and his beloved parents Mary Lou (Minuchi) and William V. Brophy (Stoughton FD, Ret.) of Stoughton. He was the brother of the late Sean M. Brophy and his surviving wife Dina Brophy of Wareham and the uncle of Alec Brophy, Claudia Brophy, Brayden Brophy, Brett Brophy, Barret Brophy and the late Taylor Rose Brophy. He is also survived by his partner Missy.
