Jared M. Burnham, 38, a lifelong resident of Avon, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Son of Paula (Conley) Naylor of Avon and Fred Burnham of Arizona, he was born in Stoughton and educated in Avon schools. He was a member of the Laborer's Union, Local 133 in Boston. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed fishing with his son Nick, spending time with his family and family dinners.
In addition to his parents, Jared is survived by his son, Nicholas J. Burnham of Avon. He was the longtime companion of Lisa Portnoy of Avon. He was the brother of Leigh Areias and her husband Joe and Michael P. Burnham all of Avon and the uncle of Alexandra and Robert Halley. He was the grandson of the late James and Gertrude Conley and Fred and Theresa Burnham. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his best buddy Scott Conley of Avon.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, February 25 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, Avon at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jared's memory may be made to the Nicholas Burnham College Fund, PO Box 93, Stoughton, MA 02072.
