Janet E. (Abramson) Drago

Janet E. (Abramson) Drago, age 71, passed away on October 30, 2023 at Alliance Health at West Acres in Brockton, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stoughton, she was the daughter to the late Mary Shirley (McCann) and George Elsworth Abramson. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton, graduating Class of 1970. She worked at the Four Points Sheraton as a bookkeeper for 40 years before retiring in 2016. She loved bingo, going to the casino, and playing the lottery, embodying her love for all things numbers. She was known for her world-famous potato salad that her family requested every holiday as her dish to bring. She enjoyed needlepoint and was well known by her family to make her “Christmas Balls” ornaments every year – which she most definitely made hundreds of. She vacationed with her daughter Erin and her husband Mikey, and her granddaughter Hannah regularly, and they spent a lot of time as the 4 of them together. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by those who had known her.

Janet is survived by her beloved daughter Erin L. Holland and her husband Michael of Brockton, and was the loving grandmother to Hannah Rose Holland. She is also survived by her sisters Marion Jennison and her husband Russell of Canton, and Karen Abramson of Stoughton, and was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Abramson. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Monday November 6^th from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held the next day, Tuesday November 7^th at the funeral home, at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
