Janet K. Coe

Janet K. (Corcoran) Coe, 78, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at her son's home in East Bridgewater on Friday, November 30 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Coe. Born and raised in Brookline, she was a graduate of Brookline High School. She was a member of the first graduating class of women from Boston College. Mrs. Coe was a resident of Stoughton for 43 years. She was a teacher for Stoughton Public Schools for many years before retiring 11 years ago. She was a member of both the Massachusetts and Stoughton Teachers Associations. She was a member of the Boston College Golden Eagle Alumni. Janet was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She enjoyed reading and took great joy in educating others.

Mrs. Coe was the mother of Francis X. Coe and his wife Barbara of East Bridgewater, Mary A. Myers and her husband John of West Bridgewater, William L. Coe and his wife Gina of Stoughton and the late Kathleen "Kitty" Bedrosian. She was the grandmother of Daniel, Marissa and Ryan Coe, William and Kaitlyn Myers and Bella Coe. She was the sister of Mary Gallagher of PA, Francis Corcoran of Natick, Rev. Lawrence Corcoran, SJ of Weston and the late Joan Linnane. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, December 6 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 1030 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
