Janet M. Bean, 68, died Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, after a period of declining health. Born in Boston, daughter of Robert F. Bean of Stoughton and the late Madeline (Matook) Bean, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a 1975 graduate of Stoughton High School. Janet was a longtime resident of Stoughton and enjoyed the last two years in Cape Coral, FL. She worked as a waitress at the Town Spa in Stoughton for many years and made lifelong, lasting friendships there. She also worked as a Teacher’s Aide in the Stoughton School System for over 20 years. She retired several years ago. Janet loved spending time at the beach and enjoyed Hampton Beach, Wareham, time at Cape Cod Canal, and visited as many beaches as she could on the Gulf Coast of FL while there. She loved cooking and was happy when sharing her food with family and friends. She enjoyed reading and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. Her happiest times were spent around her family, friends and her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her father, Janet is survived by her two children, Christine M. Bell and her husband Clay of Vermont and Robert G. Ilacqua and his wife Jennifer of Quincy. She was the beloved Grammie of Camryn, Chelsea and Clayton Bell and Mackenzie, Cooper, Madeline and Riley Ilacqua. She was the sister of Robert F. Bean of Easton, Dianne Ingemi of Stoughton and the late Donald J. Bean. She is also survived by her former husband, Gary Ilacqua, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton, on Wednesday July 10th from 10-12 PM, with Funeral Prayers at 12 PM.
