Jane A. (Shea) Walker, 61, died Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her home in Stoughton after a long period of declining health. Born and raised in Providence, RI, she attended Providence Schools and was a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Providence. She also attended CCRI. In 1986, she married Steven J. Walker at St. Pius Church in Providence, and together they shared over 35 years of marriage and raised two beloved children. Mrs. Walker was a devoted wife and mother and a loving grandmother. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at several area Nursing Homes and later worked in the Cafeteria at the O'Donnell Middle School in Stoughton for several years. Jane was a dedicated mother who was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She also enjoyed doing Ceramics, sewing and loved baking "Blondies" with her daughter. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Jane is survived by her children, Brian A. Walker and Laura A. Walker (significant other Anthony Fernandes) all of Stoughton. She was the dedicated grandmother and beloved "Ma" of Kairah Walker, Aurora, Aniyah, Julian and Malachi Fernandes. Jane was the sister of Stephen Shea, Susan Shea and Thomas Shea, all of RI. She is also survived by several nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday from 4-7 PM with Funeral Prayers to follow at 7 PM. Donations in Jane's Memory may be made the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
