Jane S. (Korzeniewska) Solito, 85, died Thursday, September 2 at the BayPointe Nursing Home in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Solito. Born in Somerville, she was raised and educated in Somerville and a graduate of Somerville Schools. She was also a graduate of Chelsea Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1946. Mrs. Solito was a resident of Stoughton for over 46 years. She worked as a nurse for more than 40 years at several area hospitals, including the Leahy Clinic and at the Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton for over 25 years until her retirement in 1990. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed cross country skiing, canoeing, music and, above all, spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by and will be dearly missed by her children: Marlene Pelletier of Marlboro, Richard A. Solito, Jr. of NH and Philip A. Solito of Easton. She was the grandmother of Richard J. Solito and Stephen A. Solito, Alexander Pelletier and Alessandro Solito. She was the sister of Hedy Witkowski of Lakeville and the late Helen Nawvoichik, Stephanie Donahue and Victoria Daelhausen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 8 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Donations in Jane's memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, 02472.
