James W. "Jay" Williams III, 55, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a short period of failing health. He was the son of James W. Williams Jr. and Marjorie A. (Spalding) Williams of Sagamore Beach, formerly of Stoughton. Born in Brockton, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools, Class of "74". Mr. Williams worked for Bay State Gas as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Class A Team Leader from 1974-2000. He was a member of the Rising Star Masonic Lodge in Stoughton and was the Past master(1986). He was also a member of the Wilmington Aleppo Shriners.
In addition to his parents, Jay is survived by his brother Radcliffe "Rad" Williams and his wife Ann (Pellegrino), his nephew Matthew, and niece Marissa all of Stoughton.
