James F. "Moe" Waldron, 92, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Charwell House in Norwood after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Anna (Smith) Waldron. Born and raised in Roxbury, he was a graduate of Mission High School and also was a graduate of Boston University. Mr. Waldron was a resident of Sharon for many years. He was a Proud Veteran of the US Army and earned the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and the Silver Star for Gallantry for his actions during World War II. He worked for the Roofers Union Local 33 in Boston for over 56 years, retiring many years ago. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod and bowling.
Mr. Waldron was the father of Mona Marcucella and her husband George of Norwood, Judith Sergi and her husband Frank of Derry, NH, James F. "Jeff" Waldron and his wife the late Maryellen of Holbrook and Thomas S. Waldron and his wife Donna of Franklin. He was the brother of the late John Waldron, Thomas Waldron and Mary Goode. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, February 3 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 59 Cottage St., Sharon at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon.
