James "Jim" Toy, 69, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Son of the late Clarence and Eleanor "Helen" (Viecelli) Toy, he was born and raised in Boston. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 28 years. Mr. Toy was a bus driver for the MBTA for 40 years before retiring in 2008. He was an avid Boston sports fan and a WWE fan. He enjoyed working in his yard and auto mechanics.
Mr. Toy was the father of James "Jamie" Toy, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Bridgewater, Lisa Galligan and her husband Wayne of Taunton and the late Brian Toy. He was the longtime boyfriend of Louise Mallen of Stoughton. He was the step-father of James and Jill Mallen. He was the brother of Barbara Harris, Anthony Toy and Janet Toy all of Florida and the late Richard Toy and Robert Viecelli and is also survived by 5 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, May 10 from 9-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
