James E. "Sully" Sullivan, 94, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Thursday, July 16, 2015. He was the husband of 68 years of Cecelia (Murphy) Sullivan. He was born in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School. A very proud Marine, Sully was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and a Veteran of World War II. He worked for Norfolk Lumber Company in Stoughton before working for Georgia-Pacific in Burlington. He enjoyed working with his hands and built his own home.
In addition to his wife, Sully is survived by his children, Sheila M. Sullivan of California and Kevin M. Sullivan of Stoughton. He was the brother of the late Olive Theriault.
