James "Pop" William Noble of Stoughton, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in the early morning hours. Jim "Pop" Noble was born on August 19, 1938. He was married to the love of his life and best friend, Virginia (Ginger) K Noble for 55 amazing years. He is survived by their three sons and families. Son James K. Noble of Stoughton, MA and granddaughter Tiphanie E. Noble of Providence, RI. Son Bradford A. and wife Sherri S. Noble of Alexander, NC. Grandson, Joshua Woolf Noble, wife Ashley G. Noble, great-grandsons Lucas A and Sebastian T Noble. Granddaughter, Samantha Noble-Banks, husband Adam Banks, great-grandsons Liam J and Noah R Banks. Granddaughter Pamela Noble Blackwell, husband Timothy, great-grandson Abel W Blackwell. Gregory W Noble and fiancé Corina Badger.
Jim retired from a career at Boston Edison for 45 years. He played the trumpet in two marching bands. As a Navy Veteran, he felt a continued commitment to be one of the few who played "Taps" live for Veterans' Funerals in the Boston Area. He loved to share a quaint antidote and/or a joke with everyone he came in contact with and they always walked away with a smile on their face, which made Pop joyful. The only thing that brought more joy to his heart was the love of his "Ginny". His kind, loving soul combined with his thankfulness to God for his terrific outlook on life, was an example for us all.
As Jim had a profound love of music, in lieu of flowers, the family is establishing the Jim "Pop" Noble Scholarship Music Fund to be awarded to a member of the Stoughton High School Marching Band to assist them in pursuing their musical career in College/University. Donations in any amount may be made payable to:
