James E. Fors, 72, a resident of Raynham, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He was the husband of Susan M. (Gambrazzio) Fors for 47 years. Born in Framingham, he was a lifelong resident of Stoughton until moving to Raynham 7 years ago. Jim was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1963. He was an electrician with the Local 223 in Lakeville for over 40 years before retiring 10 years ago. He enjoyed photography, fishing and hockey but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandson.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his loving children, Melissa A. Harrington and her longtime companion, Scott Romkey of Wareham and Matthew M. Fors of Holbrook, as well as his cute grandson, Jimmy Harrington. He was the brother of Robert Fors of Hanover, William Fors of Florida, Lillian McAlpine of Lowell, Peggy Faivre of New York, Lillian Lothrop of Wareham, Retha Robichau of West Bridgewater and the late Leonard Fors. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday at 4 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 2-4 PM. Interment will be private. Donations in Jim's memory may be made to Community Autism Resources, 33 James Reynolds Rd., Unit C, Swansea, MA 02777.
