James E. Fenton

James E. Fenton, 75, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, August 9. He was the husband of Marianne (Martin) Fenton. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roxbury and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School. He earned an Associates Degree from Boston University. Mr. Fenton was a resident of Stoughton for 36 years. He was a machinist for Ferguson Industries for the Blind for many years. In his free time he enjoyed reading and communicating with his friends and family through correspondence tapes.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Fenton is survived by his children, Carrie L. Morrison of Bellingham and James E. Fenton, Jr. of Middleboro. He was the brother of Lee Fenton of Stoughton, Herbert Fenton, Jr. of Rockland, Michael Lee of Saugus and the late Patricia Hough-O'Handley. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 13 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in James' name may be made to Mass. Assn. for the Blind, Development Office, 200 Ivy St., Brookline, MA 02446.
