James A. "Papa" DiCastro, 62, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, March 25. He was the loving husband of Michelle (Levy) DiCastro. Born in Brockton, he graduated from Stoughton High School and joined the United States Marines Corp. where he served his country during the Vietnam War. Mr. DiCastro was the owner of Paint Plus in Stoughton. He was a fan of the Celtics, Patriots & Red Sox. In his free time he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Mr. DiCastro is survived by his children James & Delana DiCastro of Stoughton. He was the uncle to Kellie Greene, Robert Greene, J.J. DiCastro & Jamieanne DiCastro. He was the son of the late Joseph & Frances DiCastro and the brother of the late Joseph & Rita DiCastro
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Tuesday, March 29 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Burial will be private. Donations in James' name may be made to American Lung Assn., 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004
