James A. Di Corpo Jr.

James A. Di Corpo, Jr., a resident of Mansfield, MA since 1993, passed away peacefully at the Stanley R. Tippett Hospice Home in Needham on Friday, October 16, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was 57. Mr. Di Corpo was the loving husband of nearly 30 years to Lynn M. (Michaud) Di Corpo. Born in Stoughton on April 15, 1963, James was the loving son of the late James and Shirley (Sweet) Di Corpo. He was raised and educated in Stoughton and graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 1981. James also graduated from the Boston College School of Arts and Sciences in 1985 with dual degrees in theology and philosophy; he earned an M.B.A. from the B.C. Carroll School of Management in 1991. He worked in finance for many years at Fidelity, Harvard Pilgrim, Prudential and most recently as the Assistant Vice President of Market Insight for Lincoln Financial, based in Hartford, CT.

James was an active member of the St. Mary's Knights of Columbus and a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Mansfield, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the finance council. In his spare time, he was an avid reader who enjoyed medical mystery novels and religious books; he was a collector of fossils and meteorites. James had a lifelong devotion to Catholic saints, which he shared with the community through his collection of relics. He enjoyed the music of Bono and Prince, with both of whom he spoke. Above all, James loved spending time with his family, especially with his loving children, Ryan N. Di Corpo of New York and Erica N. Di Corpo of Mansfield. James is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, October 23, 2020, at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27), in Stoughton, A prayer service will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St., (Rte. 106), Mansfield at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 110 Medway Road, Milford, MA. A reception will take place at The Chateau Restaurant, 48 Bay Road, Norton, MA. Donations in James's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
