James P. Clark, 69, died September 14, 2009 at his vacation home in Bourne after a period of failing health. He was the husband of 50 years to Mildred S. (Fowler) Clark. Born in Brockton, he was raised in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1957. Mr. Clark was a resident of Taunton for the past 9 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He worked as a mechanic for Quinn Freight Lines in Brockton, Lawrence Redi-Mix and then Stop & Shop. Mr. Clark was a member of the Teamsters, Local 25 and the Middleboro Rod & Gun Club. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, boating and RVing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Judith Girard of N. Andover, James Cabral and his wife Paula of Middleboro and Sandra McDonough of Taunton. He was the brother of Ann Schroeder and her husband William of FL. He is also survived by his nephews, Gregory and Eric Schroeder, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, September 17 at 8 PM. Visiting Hours prior to service from 5-8 PM. Burial will be private.
