James Brendan Barlow, Jr., 72, a resident of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2017 in Florida. He was the husband of Joanne A. (Covino) Barlow of Easton. Son of the late James Brendan and Margaret (Falvey) Barlow, he was born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park. He was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, Class of 1962. Brendan was a resident of Stoughton for 30 years before moving to Ft. Myers in 2002. He was the General Manager at Roberts Ford in North Attleboro for many years before retiring at age 62. An avid golfer, he was Past President of Ponkapoag Golf Club in Canton.
In addition to his wife, Brendan is survived by his children, Donna M. White and her husband Richard of West Bridgewater, Andrea M. Carroll of Stoughton and James Brendan Barlow, III of Cape Coral, FL. He was the grandfather of Chandler White, Christian White, Michael Carroll, Devlin Carroll and Skylar Carroll. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, March 11 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 10:30-11:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brendan's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
