James A. "Sean" Fernandes, 44, died Sunday, October 23, 2016. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Somerville and Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. He also earned both his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from UMass Dartmouth. He worked as an IT Contractor for several area firms, including at Computron in Mansfield. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Fernandes loved computers, movies, cars, music and basketball. He was a devoted father who enjoyed attending car shows and auto races, cooking and food.
Mr. Fernandes was the father of Jason Fernandes of Florida, Myles Fernandes and Briana Fernandes both of Fairhaven. He was the son of Michelle (Fernandes) Carson and her husband Raymond Carson of Randolph. He was the brother of Christopher Fernandes of New Hampshire, Raymond Carson and Justin Carson both of Randolph and Erika Fuquay of California. He is also survived by James Thompson of New Hampshire and his grandson Jason Fernandes, Jr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 28 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, October 27 from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park. Donations in Sean's memory may be made to American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.
