Jacques M. Parent

Jacques M. Parent, 95, a resident of Stoughton, died at Baypointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Sunday, January 27 , 2013.

Jacques Montas Parent was born on April 26, 1917 in Petion-Ville, Haiti to Gedeon and Victoire Parent. He was the husband of the late Marie-Therese (Laincy) Parent. He was the father of Marie Francoise Felix, Marcel Felix, his son-in-law, Jacques Philippe Parent, Max-Roger Archer, his son-in-law, and the late Maud Archer and Jean-Robert Parent.  He is survived by his siblings: Gerard Parent and his wife Marie-Therese Parent, Pierna Pierre-Louis, Marie Rose Cazeau, and Jeannette Drouillard, Marianne Parent ,Anne Marie Parent his sisters-in-law; his grandchildren: Jean-Max Archer and his wife Jacqueline Archer, Esther Marie Archer, Henri Marcel Felix, Karl Edwige Felix and Pristine Hakime; his great- grandchildren: Jimmy Alexander, Jared, Jason, Julianna, Reyna and Gabriel; his great- great-grandchildren: Jordan and Jocelyn; his nephews and nieces: Chantale DeClama, Ernest Parent, Josette Porcena, Yves Pierre-Louis, Jude Pierre-Louis, Alberte Daniel, Florence Souffrant, Rosemary Calice, Jacques Parent, Ralph Parent, Renee Bigaud-Young, Sandra Andre, Maryse Parent, Rachelle Parent, Alex Parent, Yves Cazeau, Alex Cazeau, Caleb Dubois, Wilner Parent, Patrick Deroses, Gabrielle Deroses, Gerald Parent, Jose Parent, George Parent, Jean-Claude Parent, Jean Bernard Parent, Harry Parent, Jose, Jacqueline and Victor Drouillard, Marie Carmel Presendor, and George Barbier,Herbert Baptiste,Denise Desire,Michaelle Baptiste and Evelyn Antoine as well as numerous great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gedeon Parent, his mother Victoire Parent, and his wife Marie-Therese Parent; his brothers and sisters, Joseph Parent, Pierre Parent, Michel Parent, Antoinette Parent, Andre Parent,Agnes Denise (Dede) Baptiste, Carmel Dubois and Antoine Parent.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Church, 1540 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan on Tuesday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
