Jacqueline R. (Piriee’) Bishop, 82, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, after a long period of declining health. Born in Norwood, she was a longtime resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1961. Jackie was a life-long learner and furthered her education with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Massasoit Community College, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stonehill College, her Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Salve Regina College in Newport, RI and her Masters Degree in Nursing from Regis College in Weston, where she became a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Jackie spent the first part of her career as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at the Goddard Hospital in Stoughton and Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton and also worked in the same capacity at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester. After earning her Nurse Practitioner License, she worked for Drs. Joseph Kagan and Dino Constantino in Brockton, Dr. Joseph Emma in Avon, at the Kindred Specialty Hospital in Stoughton, the Visiting Nurses Association, as well as being the Director of Nurses at Bridgewater Park Medical Associates in Brockton for several years. Jackie was a Clinical Nursing Instructor for many years at Massasoit Community College, Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and at the Cape and Islands Paramedic Program in Hyannis and also was involved with training with the Stoughton Fire Department. Jackie also volunteered her nursing skills with Americorps in Taunton and at Rosie’s Place in Boston for several years. She treated and cared for her patients and instructed her nursing students professionalism, compassion and care throughout her career and was well respected in her field. Jackie was a dedicated and loving grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an animal lover and enjoyed playing piano. A gifted artist, Jackie enjoyed painting and drawing and loved spending time at the beach, especially at Little Harbor in Wareham and on the beaches of St. Maarten. Her most cherished times were spent surrounded by her family and friends.

Jackie is survived by her children, Timothy S. Bishop of Sandwich and Paula J. Kimball and her husband Paul of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Connor Kimball, Mackenzie Kimball and Lily Brooks. She was the sister of Joan Sheridan of FL and Joan Barrett of NC, formerly of Stoughton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Private family services were held.
