Jacinto I. Vargas

Jacinto I. Vargas, 83, a resident of North Easton, died peacefully at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Sunday, April 13 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Luisa D. (Faria) Vargas. Born and raised in Faial, Azores, Portugal, he was a resident of North Easton for 9 years after living in Stoughton for 35 years. Mr. Vargas was a shop foreman at West End Hub and Spring in Stoughton for 20 years before retiring at age 65.
Mr. Vargas is survived by his children, Carlos F. Vargas and his wife Kathleen and Natalia M. Vargas all of Stoughton, Joseph A. Vargas and his wife Brenda of North Easton and Mario J. Vargas and his wife Jennifer of South Easton. He was the brother of the late Francisco, Manuel, Eduino and Maria do Carma Vargas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, April 17 at 7:45 AM followed by a Funeral Blessing at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 8:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jacinto's memory may be sent to the charity of your choice.
