Isidro M. Sousa, 65, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, February 14 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Maria Albertina (da Silva) Sousa for 27 years. Born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal, he resided in Stoughton since 1989. Mr. Sousa was a fork lift operator for Solar Seal in Easton for 22 years before retiring 2 years ago. He was a member of the Sao Joao Filarmonica Society in Stoughton. He enjoyed fishing, working around his home and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Sousa is survived by his children, Audrey M. Montejano and her husband Brian of California, Avery M. Sousa and his wife Kendra of Weymouth and Andrew M. Sousa of Stoughton. He was the grandfather of Maeli, Roman, Taylor, Avery and Alyssa.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 20 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
