Isabel M. (Gonsalves) Hinchliffe

Isabel M. (Gonsalves) Hinchliffe, 86, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at her home in Stoughton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Lester F. Hinchliffe. Born in Stoughton, she was a longtime resident of Stoughton and was a 1948 Graduate of Stoughton High School. She worked as an Electronics Inspector at Raytheon in Quincy for many years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed spending time at the Stoughton Senior Center. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, playing solitaire, crossword puzzles, gardening, reading and, above all, spending time with her family.

Mrs. Hinchliffe was the mother of Mary M. Hainley and her husband Charles of Lakeville, Leslie F. Guerzoni and her husband the late Richard of Marion, Cheryl A. Medeiros and her husband the late Wayne of Easton, Tony Hinchliffe and his wife MaryJo of Middleboro, Karen M. Day and her husband the late Robert of Raynham and John G. Hinchliffe and his wife Diane of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Mark and Nicole Hainley, John Guerzoni, Amy Arruda and her wife Kay Arruda, Brandon Mayer, Kayla and Brian Hinchliffe, Allison Day, Melissa Cappiello and her husband Marc, Eric Day, Melissa Lucente, Derek Lucente and his wife Erica and Paige and Jake Hinchliffe. Isabel was the great grandmother of Steven Hainley, Peyton and Harper Mayer and Nicholas and Chase Cappiello. She was the sister of Teresa McGrath of FL, Edward Gonsalves of Brockton and the late Manuel Gonsalves, John Gonsalves, Mary Texeira, Elizabeth Gonsalves, Augustina Cavanaugh, Frank Gonsalves, Joseph Gonsalves and Anthony Gonsalves. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Isabel's memory may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave, Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062.
