Iria P. (Pereira) Silva, 94, died Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the CareOne Randolph Nursing Home in Randolph. She was the wife of the late Manuel J. DaSilva. Born on the island of Terceira in the Azores, she was raised and educated on Terceira and was a longtime resident of the island and raised her family there. In 1979, she moved to the United States and settled in Stoughton. She worked as an assembler for Analog Devices in Norwood for over 11 years, retiring many years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, walking, shopping, singing, crocheting and spending time with her beloved family.
Mrs. Silva was the mother of Jose R. DaSilva of Stoughton, Jorge H. Silva of Portugal, Iria C. Lima of FL, Fernando Silva and Fernanda Monteiro both of Stoughton, Paulo A. Silva of Taunton and the late Eduardo Silva and Manuel DaSilva. She was the sister of Ema Pinheiro of NJ, Jose Pereira of Portugal and the late Diolinda Margarido, Luis Pereira Da Rocha, Lourdes Lemos, Urbela Areias, Arnaldo Rocha and Adelino Rocha. Also survived by 23 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday, December 5 from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
