Ilya, G. Lastovkin was buried August 27, 2015 at the Central Cemetery in Randolph. He was the son of Yelena Lastovkina of Stoughton and the late Gennadiy Lastovkin. Born in Russia, he came to the United States in 1998 and settled in Canton. He was raised in Canton and attended Canton Schools. Ilya was a resident of Stoughton for over 11 years. He worked as a cashier at Family Dollar in Stoughton.
Ilya had an inextinguishable creative side. He taught himself to play guitar, drums and electrical piano. Aside from playing instruments, he spent his free time painting, composing music and writing fantasy stories. He also had an interest in programming and took classes at a Community College.
In November 2009, Ilya Lastovkin was considered missing by his family and the local authorities. His remains were recently found.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings Mariya Lastovkina, Leonid Lastovkin, Galina Lastovkina and Yekaterina Lastovkina.
