Howard W. Shepard, Jr., 35, a resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. He was the husband of Christine A. (Harrington) Shepard. Son of Howard W. and Rosanna (Finnerty) Shepard of Lowell, he was born and raised in Lowell and graduated from Tyngsboro High School, Class of 1997. He resided in Stoughton for the past year. Howard was a chef, working recently for Sid Wainer in New Bedford. He had previously worked for Sodexho in Marlboro for 6 years. He was active at the YMCA in Stoughton and played in an over 30 baseball league in Lowell. He also coached PYO Baseball in Lowell and Stoughton Youth Baseball, but cooking was his passion.
In addition to his wife and parents, Howard is survived by his children, Connor J. and Hayley R. Shepard both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Matthew R. Shepard and his wife Lisa and Kyle T. Shepard all of Lowell and uncle of Madelyn and Thomas Shepard. He was the son-in-law of Cicelia and Christopher Lally and John Harrington, brother-in-law of Janelle Harrington and is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held at Edson Cemetery, 1375 Gorham St., Lowell on Monday, October 27 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday from 2-6 PM.
