Hoa Kim Ly

Hoa Kim “Julie” Ly, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. She was the wife of the late Phong Tac Truong.  Born and raised in Bac Lieu, Vietnam, she was a resident of Stoughton for the past 6 years.  Julie raised her family in Vietnam and, in 1991, came to the United States and settled in Newton.  She later moved to Braintree and, after the death of her husband in 2016, moved to Stoughton with her daughter Tan and family.  Julie enjoyed eating many different delicacies and spending time at the Rainbow Senior Center in Dorchester.  She was a dedicated wife, homemaker and mother who delighted in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. 

Julie is survived by her children: Uyen Truong of Billerica, Tran Truong and Nguyen Ly both of AZ, Tan Truong of Stoughton, Khoi Truong of CA, Ngoc Truong of Marshfield and Phu Truong of Hanson.  She was the sister of Ly Anh Hong of TX and is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 9-11 AM.
