Herbert S. Heffernan

Herbert S. Heffernan, Jr., 78, a resident of Braintree, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Son of the late Herbert S. and Anne (Sandsbury) Heffernan, he was born and raised in Dorchester. He was a resident of Braintree for the past 20 years. Herbert was a furniture mover for many years.

Mr. Heffernan is survived by his children, Herbert S. Heffernan, III of Oceanside, CA, Russell H. Heffernan of Las Vegas, NV, David J. Heffernan of Honolulu, HI, Eric L. Heffernan of Brockton, Dawn M. Heffernan of Las Vegas, NV and Kathleen A. Heffernan of Honolulu, HI. He was the brother of the late Warren Heffernan, Elizabeth Cummings and Liza Martens. He is also survived by his former wife, Dorothy G. (Robinson) Wood of Las Vegas, NV, as well as 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
